About Me
I believe my life should be lived in a way that exudes hope and grace. I desire to live every day in a way that is authentic to this core belief. My past experiences, collegiate journey, and my future goals are guided by my desire to live my life in a way that is worthy of the calling I have received.

Before I entered the University of Cincinnati, I graduated as Valedictorian from Reynoldsburg High School: Health and Human Services Academy in 2013. I am currently a rising senior majoring in Biology, with a Bio-Medical Concentration, and minoring in Art History. I am also a part of the University Honors Program, a Cincinnatus Scholar, and a part of the Connections Dual Admissions BS/MD Medical Program.
My experiences at the University of Cincinnati thus far have allowed me explore my passion for both medicine and art. Trips to Spain, Mexico, Canada, Thailand, China, Guatemala, and Haiti have allowed me expand my understanding of my role as a global citizen. Volunteer experiences with underprivileged communities in Cincinnati have challenged me to redefine my role as community leader to work towards a future without oppressive systems of power and privileged. In a different way, my passion for Art History has allowed me to learn about a diverse array of communities from both a historical and creative perspective.
I plan to graduate in the Fall of 2016 before entering into the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in the Fall of 2017. I want to be a physician that cares for the person as a whole, someone who provides aliment for the physical, social, and emotional deficits that patients may have. As a physician I will have the opportunity to intervene in the health and poverty cycle, and to be a leader in my local community.
In ten years I hope to be a resident in an Emergency room. Once I have completed my training, I expect to join Doctor's Without Borders. Their mission is to provide healthcare to the undeserved global communities regardless of their political, cultural, and religious affiliations. I believe that health is a basic human right, and as a physician I will have the responsibility to serve communities without the basic foundations of health care.
